FREE GeoDATA Seminars Visit Glasgow and Belfast this November
Learn about geographic information from leading industry specialists
September 2010 – Training4GIS™, the training and consultancy division of The GeoInformation® Group, is hosting its annual GeoDATA events this autumn.
GeoDATA is a popular series of one day, free educational seminars that, now in its eighth year, tours cities throughout UK. GeoDATA Glasgow scheduled for 10 November and GeoDATA Belfast on 16 November, complete the 2010 series that has already attracted over 600 delegates in London, Liverpool, Cardiff and Dublin earlier this year. Further information on this event can be found at www.citiesrevealed.com/events/geodata10.
GeoDATA events are designed to provide a unique opportunity for delegates to come and learn from leading data specialists, explore practical examples and view new technologies surrounding the availability and use of geographic information. It is an ideal chance for both those new to the world of spatial data as well as the more experienced geographic information professionals to attend and take back fresh inspiration to their workplace.
Speakers already committed to the GeoDATA series include; Cadcorp, STAR-APIC, Intermap Technologies, KOREC, Association for Geographic Information, The GeoInformation Group, Environment Systems, IMGS, Envitia, Forth Valley GIS, Snowflake Software, Geological Survey of Northern Ireland, The British Cartographic Society and Compass Informatics.
Seminar topics include: · Accurate flood modelling · Making location information accessible · Open Data: Changing the way we work · Data management in support of INSPIRE · The future landscape for geographic information
In addition to the presentations, an exhibition showcase will support these events to highlight the latest developments within the geographic data industry.
